Registration now Open, teams will fill quickly!!!

I cannot win, in my efforts to give the information as soon as possible, I some times hit roadblocks I could not foresee. I'm sitting on information for 2 months from now on!

Now the fairgrounds has told me the double booked the 27/28 for a rodeo. SE will now be the 13/14th. I will not switch again so if it's not these dates it will be cancelled, I give up. Hate looking like a fool, sorry DI fans and drivers.

They have assured me they will turn the water on for the event, showers, campers, track etc...

Hotel info, book quickly most hotels will sell out this weekend due to Science Fair at the U of I

Across the street from this motel is a very nice motel called Eastland Suites. It is sold out already but has a nice lounge in it. I have spoke to management there and they said the lounge will stay open as long as it needs to and everyone is more then welcome.

14th Saturday, one shot deals, features 4pm start

Registration opens Jan 1st for all drivers, repeat teams may send it early.

16 teams, 4 car teams 2 80 and newer, 2 any year, any make or model except Imperials, 2 teams are reserved for Future Icons teams (see below for changes) $800 per team. Teams need one team captain to send me all info at once with payment. Points Event
$8,000, $4,000, $2,000, $1,000 A main
B Main winner advances to A main

One shot deals:

80's class $100 to enter $4,000 purse 20 car min and 40 car max
$1500, 750, 400, 250, 100 to win $500, 500 for Icon Instigators. Points Event

Bone Stock $50 to enter, $750, $500, $250 10 car min No points

Trucks $50 to enter $750, $500, $250 10 car min

Compacts $50 to enter $750, $500, $250 10 car min

All classes are pre-register and we must meet minimums for the class to happen, so if you want to run register Jan 1st.

Future Icons: Accepting teams only for this event, no one shot deal[/b] Due to change in insurance, age is now 15 to 21 years old. Age determined on Jan 1st 2012. We will entertain exceptions on a case by case basis, example 23 year old female with no experience and basic engine package etc.. No ringers! contact Tory.

Now the big question? Why not Georgetown?
They refused to rent the grounds in April due the past weather at this show, can't blame them a lot of damages has resulted from past rains. No hard feelings with them or the Youth Group just resulted in a short move down the road, the Georgetown Youth Group will still be a part of the show.

This is a great facility with larger covered stands, camping, flat level pits, alcohol sales, hospital one block away that we hopefully won't need this year!

Camping is with hookups 50 or so spots right next to the track, $20 per night, large tent camping area in a beautiful woods like setting. Restrooms with showers too! [/b]
